USC FOOTBALL : Marqise Lee suffers shoulder injury

Friday, October 14, 2011

San Francisco - USC wide receiver Marqise Lee had a great first half, four receptions for 81 yards and a touchdown. But Lee did not play the second half after he sprained AC joint in his shoulder while catching a 39-yard touchdown pass. "I wanted to keep playing, but I could barely move his hands," Lee said. "I landed it twice. The first touchdown of the game and play." I'm OK now. I'm pretty sure I'm ready for Notre Dame. "Lee, the only real spark for the offense in the first half as wide receiver Robert Woods was constantly double-covered and stored up to 13 meters and opening two quarters. But he was critical of his performance." I had two big drops, "he said.

Tyler injured

Back Tail Marc Tyler said he dislocated his shoulder, but x-rays were negative. He does not know how long he would be sidelined. "I've never had this before," Tyler said. "It feels better already though." Corner Back Anthony Brown broke his ankle and back Demetrius Wright bruised bone.

The farmer's debut

Newcomer George Farmer tail back played his first college game, and lost 5 yards to continue their first series, the first USC. Farmer caught a 14-yard pass that almost went to a lot more before he was released on the sidelines. Farmer fumbled near the end of the game, which is not surprising, since he rarely played tail back until Thursday night. "I was pretty nervous when I saw it was nowhere

go to (his first carry), "he said." I thought it was my fault. "Friendly confines. This was not exactly a hostile environment for Trojans. Sideline bleachers behind the USC Trojans were mainly composed of fans inside the baseball stadium and the sound was not anywhere near the stadium seemed like USC, Pac-12.It gave less than 10,000 fans a game, which was not surprising that weeknight to get into. It is traditionally the biggest road trip of students from USC, but many chose to pass, and San Francisco was pretty much no Trojan fans Wednesday night.

Skewed scores

If USC played Cal every week, the Golden Bears coach Jeff Tedford probably get fired. As in 2009, outscored USC 82-0 Bears in the first half of the total of three meetings. Tedford has lost eight straight games to USC as his team's memorable 2003 upset of the Trojans.
