Ronnie Brown : Philadelphia Eagles Pull Plug on

Wednesday, October 19, 2011

Philadelphia Eagles already said goodbye to one of their major offseason acquisitions. Just before the trade deadline for the 19th October Eagles running back Ronnie Brown on the Detroit Lions. In return, Brown, Eagles got back an ex back Jerome Harrison (notes) and the seventh-round choice. As a fan of the Eagles, is trading a little disappointed that the team came back. But I'm not surprised it happened. Brown is a bust, after joining the team.

If Brown led the Eagles, I was excited about the running back depth. His skill set seemed to be a perfect complement to LeSean McCoy (notes). But Brown simply vanished from the Eagles. In October 2 game against the San Francisco 49ers, Brown was a terrible mess of the finish line, which contributed to the loss of Philadelphia. This was the last time he was finished. He had only 13 rushes for the Eagles and the guy on the team never seemed to consider what they can. With wide receiver Steve Smith, Brown was one of the biggest disappointments in the team.

Harrison will join the Eagles on the trade deadline for the second year in a row. In 2010 he joined the team of the Cleveland Browns. Harrison had a big game against the Washington Redskins in 2010. Apart from that, he really did not do much. Harrison, the Eagles do not get any better, but he does not make them any worse either. If they wanted to get rid of Brown, they needed someone to give back to the depth of the team. It seems that Harrison has a boyfriend.

After a disappointing start to the 2011 season, it seems Ronnie Brown (notes) is a scapegoat. He was one of many big name stars, led the Eagles during the offseason. Like most of Brown's performance has become a place in stars mediocre and terrible. The fact that he touched the ball the last two games was a sure sign that he was welcome to wear. Hopefully Harrison will fill a reserve role during his second term in a better team.
