Father of Unix And C Dennis Ritchie Dies

Dennis Ritchie, creator of C and co-creator of the Unix operating system, has been dead for 70 years.Although the introduction of the Intel 4004 in 1971, is widely regarded as a turning point in modern computers, the simultaneous delivery of programming language C is less well known.

Dennis Ritchie was born MacAlistair Bronxville, New York, September 9, 1941 and grew up in New Jersey, where his father, Alistair Ritchie, in the radio phone Systems Engineer at Bell Laboratories. Ritchie went to Harvard University and graduated in physics in 1963.
