7 Casualties damage reported in Sikkim Earthquake

New Delhi: child injuries has died after 6.8 magnitude earthquake on Sunday, Secretary of Sikkim, Sikkim Karma Gyatso said. One person was reportedly killed in Bihar Bhagalpur Stampede after the quake. Five people were reported dead in Nepal.






The earthquake was 6.8 on the Richter scale struck northern India on Sunday at 18:10 and its epicenter was 64 km away from Gangtok, Sikkim, causing extensive damage to the premises. Tremors were seen in Delhi and elsewhere in northern India. Tremors were observed Patna, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal too.



Aftershocks measuring 6.1 and 5.3 on the Richter scale was felt around the Sikkim 20 minutes after the quake.
Speaking to CNN-IBN that the DGP of Sikkim, said that many buildings were damaged. He also said the roads were blocked and the people's problems. He said that the Sikkim Chief Minister Pawan Chamling convened an emergency meeting.



Arvind Kumar, Senior Resident Commissioner, Sikkim, said it was too much damage to the northern part of Sikkim. He also said that rescue operations have begun the region.

There are also reports of landslides after the earthquake in the neighboring areas of Sikkim and Darjeeling.
The Prime Minister also spoke about the Sikkim chief minister, and offered no apua.Pääministeri also called on the Secretary of the Commission to convene an emergency meeting.

Have been reported in the balance of payments in Bihar. Two buildings in different parts of Katihar in Bihar. Kahalgaon NTPC power stations in Bihar was also arrested because, according to which the earthquake in northern Bihar is the source of the crisis of power.
