Shakira buys Caribbean Island in $16 million

London, 29 September Colombian singer Shakira and musician Roger Waters bought the Caribbean island worth $ 16 million.

Shakira, 34, and Waters, 68, allegedly in hopes to "reinvent the concept of tourism by building a set of luxury homes on the island, which also includes a number of hotels and private beaches.

"It's not about having 200 boats and 18-hole golf course. I would say there is an explosion of the senses. It is a concept more related to art and culture," commented Arturo Rubinstein femalefirst.co.uk Miami-based investor, says project involved.
