Big-Ticket Announced on cars at Auto Expo 2012 Mega-Launch

New Delhi: With India emerging as a market of more than 15 million vehicles a year, almost all companies of national and international efforts to be less than their presence in the 11th edition of Auto Expo, which begins here Thursday to mark.





The five-day event at Pragati Maidan exhibition space sprawling, many of appearance and the first performances of vehicles in almost all segments of the promises and hopes to attract about 500,000 marks, according to organizers.

Held every two years, the event organized by the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Automotive Component Manufacturers Association (ACMA).

"In the long run, car manufacturers are very optimistic about the Indian market. That's why all of their current product offerings to customers, "Abdul Majeed, a partner in the practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers car, told reporters.

"There should be an immediate increase in sales or something. But companies want customers to their product portfolio," he said, adding that fuel prices and interest rates on the rise has affected car sales last calendar year.

Mass begins at Pragati Maidan in the capital on January 5. About 1,500 exhibitors from 24 countries participated in the program, with more than 37 German companies together under the slogan "Made in Germany".

The last Auto Expo is also a major attraction and a platform for visitors to see what is in store in the local and global auto space, such as the unveiling of the world's cheapest car - Tata Nano.
