Canberra, 26 September: The Australian engineer has claimed that Facebook is able to monitor the websites you visit, even if you are logged by the Wollongong-based social network giant.According Nik Cubrilovic, the user is logged out of Facebook, rather than removing Tracking cookies, making site just them maintain account information and other unique shapes that can be used to identify its users.
It simply means that each time you visit a website or a Facebook widget button in your browser still has to send personal data back to Facebook. "Even if you are logged out, Facebook still knows, and you can track every site you visit," Cubrilovic wrote a blog post.
"The only solution is to delete all cookies in your browser, Facebook, or use a separate communication with the Facebook browser," he said added.Cubrilovic Facebook tried to inform him of his discovery, but received no response, the Sydney Morning Herald reports.
